I discovered Guided By Voices' "Bee Thousand" in 1995. Been a fan ever since. Not long after I met Chris Cannon and he introduced me to a ton of additional GBV material, but I never saw them live. Just this past Thursday their Classic Lineup Tour kicked off right here in Dallas, TX. My friend Mark Pittman (who I also know through Cannon) had an extra ticket and he didn't have to ask twice. Hell of a show, here's some shaky cell-phone video I shot:
